The 1920s Renaissance (1925 - 1950s)

Founded in 1925 as the Penniman-Allen Theater, THE venue originally featured vaudeville and movies, highlighted by a grand Wurlitzer pipe organ and visits from icons like Charlie Chaplin.

Restoration and Rebirth (1970s - 2000s)

The 1970s brought new life to the theater, now called the Marquis. It underwent restoration, transitioning to live entertainment and regaining its historical elegance, despite challenges like a 2003 fire.
